THE BEGINNING

ORIGIN AND ESTABLISHMENT

The idea for Taha and Tawfiq Charity Complex emerged from the vision of Mr Mujahid Taha Othman and his belief in building people and serving the community. Since its establishment in 2016, the Complex has carried out educational, developmental, and humanitarian initiatives that contribute to lasting impact.

ORIGIN AND ESTABLISHMENT

Taha and Tawfiq Charity Complex is a nonprofit institution devoted to education, community development, humanitarian care, and sharing knowledge. Its distinctive programs and initiatives are grounded in giving, excellence, and sustainability, and contribute to building an informed and flourishing community.

The idea for the Complex was conceived as an act of service and love. Mr Mujahid Taha Othman envisioned a charitable service complex and an educational, religious, and academic beacon for the people of Koka Al-Mahas, extending to the neighbouring sheikhdoms and the wider Nubian region.

The project began in 2016. Mr Mujahid Taha Othman approached the heirs, undertook to cover the cost, and asked them to donate the jointly owned plot shared by Mr Abdelhadi Taha Othman and the late Tawfiq Taha Othman.

The first party agreed to the gift. The founder then proceeded with the necessary steps and sought the consent of the late Tawfiq Taha Othman’s heirs to establish the Complex on the land in the names of the late Taha Othman and Tawfiq Taha Othman as a charitable endowment in Koka Al-Mahas.

An endowment in service of people

A story that grows through giving.

THE QUR’AN SAYSAl-Qasas, verse 77

Seek, through what Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter, and do not forget your share of this world. Do good as Allah has done good to you, and do not seek corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not love those who cause corruption.

This verse embodies the Complex’s guiding approach: balancing the pursuit of the hereafter with building life in this world, doing good to others, using blessings for good, and rejecting corruption. These principles inspire the Complex’s service to people and community.
