A place of worship for the people of Koka, the mosque holds the five daily prayers and includes a Qur’an school for memorisation and recitation, with Friday prayer planned when needed.
The school teaches Qur’an memorisation, recitation, and tajwid. It also hosts an annual memorisation competition sponsored by Mamdouh Ishaq Haj and is overseen by Hanadi Taha, deputy chair of the complex’s board.
Named for Hajja Alawiya Sayed Ahmed, the school guides children from short surahs through Juz Amma and Juz Tabarak while instilling Islamic values. Its annual competition honours the late Ishaq Haj Mohamed and supports young memorizers.
The public library is one of the region’s leading knowledge centres, with specialist books in medicine, engineering, literature, history, Islamic studies, and culture, supporting education and research.
The library is a beacon for learning, offering references across scientific, literary, historical, religious, and human disciplines in an environment that develops thought and prepares future generations.
Taha Technology and Training Centre equips community members with modern technical skills through computing, information technology, digital transformation, and professional development programs.
The centre provides an equipped learning environment for courses and workshops that develop students and young people, expand digital literacy, and prepare them for education and work.
Commercial and service facilities meet community needs, strengthen social solidarity, provide affordable essentials, and support the sustainability of the complex’s programs.
The facilities include a community mill gifted by the family of the late Mohamed Abdelhalim Farah, along with supply and retail outlets operated at nominal rents to support accessible services and institutional sustainability.
